G etting directly to the point: This chile'   Alison Morris , news host on MSNBC did   N O T utter the n*word in her coverage of the tragic death of beloved NBA legend Kobe Bryant .   Alison Morris But, for the past several days this chile' has been lied on, talked about, maligned and misquoted since uttering what SOME thought was a racial slur during breaking news coverage of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed Kobe's life, along with his 13-year old daughter and 7 others. There are several petitions calling for her to be fired.  There are other petitions completely mischaracterizing her reporting altogether. One petition actually accuses her of calling Kobe himself the n-word.   😧 Be still my beating heart!     That didn't happen ya'll.  Some are presuming to know her thoughts, her heart, her head; some claiming that she   was subconsciously thinking n*word , and that perhaps it just ' slipped ' out ...

Zeydana (Instagram) I was perusing the Internet recently when I stumbled across a young J-lo look-a-like  rocking an uber-chic men's inspired suit and killer fedora. The headline read , "Are You Feeling Zendaya’s Menswear-Inspired Suit?"   My answer was a resounding, 'YES!! Pharrell Williams (Twitter) It seems super producer-writer-singer and ' Happy ' man Pharrell Williams has angered some folks ( again ).  This time controversy centers around comments about race during a recent interview with Oprah on OWN. While ( again ) addressing the criticism from those who say he did not include an African American on his GIRL album cover ( he did by the way ), Pharrell defined himself as The New Black; quoting here, the portion of his statement that went viral:     "The New Black doesn't blame other races for our issues.
