Everyday ... sometimes more than once a day, I receive warnings and horror stories about attempted abductions of young girls and young woman.
One day ... within the past year, even I found myself being watched and followed while getting into my car and pulling out of a parking lot ... but, because I was paying attention, I was able to make it to safety.
Here are some sobering facts:
"85% of victims that are trafficked in the United States are from here."

"Trafficking has moved from the street to the smartphone & sadly it's just about as easy to order a pizza as it is a person."

Dr. Bob Sanborn with Texas child advocacy organization Children at Risk tells me in the audio below that "the problem involves a growing demand in Texas for children, young women and men."
Recorded January 2018 (January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month)
While the numbers are staggering in Texas, no state is immune; Of over 5,100 human trafficking cases reported to the National Human Trafficking Hotline (NHTH) in 2018, not one state was excluded.
The question often asked, is how did we get here?
The answer is in another set of stats:
Human trafficking earns profits of roughly $150 billion a year for traffickers.
If you suspect that your child or family member has fallen victim to this raging problem call the NHTH at (888) 373-7888.
